Productive things to do when you're bored

Boredom gets us all. It's difficult to get your work done when you when don't feel like getting out of your bed. Here are some ways to make you feel productive on your burnout days:

1. Arrange your wardrobe

Pile up t-shirts to one side and jeans to the other. Get rid of unwanted clothes. Make a small box to keep your necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc.

2. Cook

Cook something for yourself; browse YouTube or google for recipes. This is the best way to embrace your inner Gordon Ramsay.

3. Room decor

Clean up your room; add some fake leaves and picture collages on the wall. Browse Pinterest to get aesthetic room decor ideas. Put up painted CDs and DVDs to make your room look more aesthetic. Don't forget to add fairy lights.

4. Clean your study table

Get rid of all the unwanted notes and books. Make DIY pen holders and add fairy lights. Check out Pinterest to get some good ideas. Changing the look of your study space and keeping it clean will make you want to study.

5. Knitting

You can knit while watching Netflix. It's a fun hobby and a good way to pass time. Make woollen pen holders and purses for your personal use.

6. Go for a walk

A good walk through a flowery garden or just through the city lights; clears your mind and purifies your thoughts. Take your pet with you if you have one. Trust me on this one; after strolling you are going to feel productive.

7. Clean your phone

Delete all the random photos and apps you have on your phone. Check your emails. Organize your Pinterest boards and email accounts.

8. Make a to-do list for tomorrow

If your today wasn't productive enough make sure your tomorrow does. Write down things you need to do and make a timetable for tomorrow. Use the Pomodoro technique; work with a complete focus for 25 mins and then take a 5 min break.

9. Make DIY scrunchies

Scrunchies are trendy and affordable but making one by yourself? Sounds perfect. There are tons of YouTube videos on making DIY scrunchies. Try using things that you already have at home but no longer use them.

Everyone has seen the day where they simply wanted to lay down and scroll through their Instagram watching others live their dreams. Don't let your laziness bury your success. Every time you procrastinate tell yourself you're going to start studying or working in 5 minutes. The Pomodoro technique is a good way to track your productivity.
